The Lighthouse Tartan Platter
A lighthouse is a steady and grounded structure that guides us home no matter where life has brought us. It illuminates the dark, bringing love, hope, and peace to all.
Inspiration for the colours in this tartan are from the beautiful and iconic lighthouse in Peggy’ Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada. Dark blue is the colour of the North Atlantic Ocean, white , the crashing waves and the lighthouse structure, red the beacon light, grey the baron granite, and the black, the danger zone at the water’s edge and to remember those who have been lost to the ocean.
This tartan is designed by Lori Nason and is pending official acknowlegement through the Scottish Register of Tartans, the database for information on thousands of tartans.
